Neil Gallagher

CEO

As a successful mobile telecoms entrepreneur, Neil Gallagher brings strategic vision and leadership to his role as Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Caped Koala Studios.

Prior to founding Caped Koala, Neil was founder and CEO of Sentaca Communications a successful niche supplier of solutions & services to the mobile, telecommunications & Internet Industry globally. Sentaca has over 100 employees and continues its rapid expansion in Europe and North America.

Neil holds a bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from the University of Ulster.

James Lane

Head of Educational Content

Coming from a large family where three of his older siblings were already teachers, perhaps it was inevitable that James found his way into the education sector. He studied and taught in Australia for a number of years before setting off to travel the world.

He started teaching in England in 1997 and his passion for teaching and learning saw him quickly progress to headship level. He has spent the last 10 years of his school leadership working in schools in challenging circumstances - the most recent OFSTED inspection of his school describing him as 'highly effective' and having 'great determination'. However, Caped Koala Studios dragged him away from headship and he has been involved in the development of Pora Ora from the very early days.

In his spare time he enjoys study and research and is currently doing a doctorate in school improvement.

Mohammed Abdeali

Chief Technical Officer

Mohammed has been involved with Pora Ora since its conception back in late 2008. Before that, he spent 5 years designing and developing large-scale transactional systems with Sentaca.

This, combined with his meticulous nature and love of games, makes him perfectly-suited to head up the technical delivery of our products.

When he's eventually able to wrestle himself away from his laptop, Mohammed likes to spend his time playing football, squash and pretty much any other sport you throw at him.

Conor Murphy

Chief Creative Officer

After graduating from University College Cork with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2000, Conor worked for telecommunications companies Logica and then Sentaca, in design and management roles.

In 2005, he donned his backpack and set off on a round-the-world adventure which included spells in South America, Australia and Asia. It was during his year teaching English to kindergarten children in Korea, though, that Conor's creative streak blossomed - encouraging them to love and use English through play and adventure. On returning to the UK, he was snapped up by Caped Koala to head their creative arm.

When not devising games for children, Conor can be found reading up on popular science, cheering on Aston Villa or strumming on his guitar.
